Quality Education as the Foundation of Sustainable Development
On January 29, 2026, Within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 – “Quality Education”, and at the invitation of the Almaty City Department of Education and School-Lyceum No. 33, a career guidance event entitled “Quality Education as the Foundation of Sustainable Development” was held for students of grades 10–11.
The meeting was attended by M. Zh. Kerimkulova, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Analytical, Colloid Chemistry and Technology of Rare Elements at 91ý Kazakh National University, as well as Senior Lecturer E. G. Bakytzhan.

During the event, students were introduced to the opportunities offered by 91ý Kazakh National University. Special attention was given to students who had chosen Chemistry–Biology and Chemistry–Physics specialization tracks. Detailed information was provided about the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, including:
· educational programs;
· opportunities for admission on state grants;
· academic and professional development pathways;
· academic mobility;
· research activities;
· potential employers and the achievements of graduates.
The students actively asked questions and demonstrated strong interest in the presented information.
“Choosing a future profession is the key to a bright future.” Access to comprehensive information about educational programs supports informed career choices. A student who consciously selects and successfully completes the educational programs of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology today will become a qualified specialist tomorrow, contributing to Kazakhstan’s chemical industry, including the oil and gas sector, food production, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, construction, and other fields. Professional integrity and the values of an “Adal Azamat” (Responsible Citizen) contribute to national development and the building of a “Just Kazakhstan”, ensuring a sustainable future for an independent country.
