“The New Constitution — A Step Toward a State that Serves Its Citizens”

Today, a seminar on one of the most important and relevant topics for our country, titled “The New Constitution — A Step Toward a State that Serves Its Citizens,” was held at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of 91ý Kazakh National University. The Constitution is not only the legal foundation of the state, but also a guarantee of mutual trust, responsibility, and equality between the citizen and the state. It is well known that the recent amendments are aimed at strengthening the principles of a “listening state,” a “just society,” and “human rights as the highest value.” The purpose of today’s seminar was not only to discuss the essence and significance of constitutional reforms, but also to analyze how they affect citizens’ daily lives, their legal culture, and civic engagement.

During the seminar, opinions were shared by Associate Professor of the Department of Analytical and Colloid Chemistry and Rare Elements Technology S.Sh. Kumargaliyeva; Acting Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Organic Substances, Natural Compounds, and Polymers P.I. Urkimbaeva; Senior Lecturer of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis, and Petrochemistry S.M. Narenova; Senior Lecturer of the Department of Chemical Physics and Materials Science O.Yu. Golovchenko; and Associate Professor of the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry R.G. Ryskalieva. An open exchange of views among the faculty’s academic staff took place.
