On February 17, 2026, within the framework of the pedagogical practice of doctoral student Laura Orakbaevna Abildaeva, an educational excursion was organized for first-year students of the 6B02213 “Museology and Historical-Cultural Tourism” educational program to the Abylkhan Kasteyev State Museum of Arts.

The main objective of the event was to enhance students’ professional competencies, integrate theoretical foundations of museum studies with practical experience, and develop skills in studying historical and cultural heritage.

During the экскурсия (excursion) students became acquainted with the structure of the museum exposition, the specifics of collection storage, and exhibition organization. They also received comprehensive information about the stages of development of Kazakh fine arts and the creative heritage of prominent artists. Special attention was paid to excursion methodology, scientific description, and presentation of exhibits.

The event became an important platform for professional experience exchange for future museologists and specialists in historical and cultural tourism. The combination of theory and practice strengthened students’ interest in their chosen field and reinforced their professional orientation.

At the end of the excursion, students shared their impressions and discussed the significance of museum activities. Such practical sessions contribute to the development of students’ cognitive engagement and enhance their responsibility for preserving and promoting national cultural heritage.
