The "Give a book to the Library" campaign was held in the Farabi Library
A traditional charity event "Give a book to the Library" was held at the scientific library of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
This event has already become a good tradition of the country's leading university, uniting generations of students, teachers and staff in a common quest for knowledge and intellectual volunteerism.
The main mission of the campaign is to qualitatively update and replenish the university's book collection. The organizers emphasize that in the era of digitalization, the printed word retains its exceptional value as a primary source of deep meanings and cultural code. The campaign aims not only to expand the library's assortment, but also to create a culture of respect for literature among young people, as well as to popularize the habit of conscious reading.
Everyone is invited to participate: from first–year students to distinguished scientists. A wide variety of literature is accepted as a gift – classical and modern fiction, current scientific monographs, textbooks in various disciplines and educational publications. Each transferred book will find a second life on the library shelves and become available to thousands of readers, helping them in their studies and research activities.
Participation in the campaign is a unique chance to contribute to the preservation of the intellectual heritage of the alma mater and the development of the university library.
