A forum on "Ensuring law and order in the context of modern challenges" was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University at the Faculty of Law.

The main purpose of the event is to bring together the scientific potential and practical experience of representatives of government agencies, the judicial system, and law enforcement agencies to discuss topical issues of ensuring legality in modern conditions.

The forum, organized by the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, was attended by representatives of government authorities, law enforcement officers, experienced lawyers, academic teachers and students.

Opening the forum, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Ualikhan Akhatov, noted: "A large-scale political event has been taking place in the country over the past six months. In connection with the adoption of the new Constitution, the Head of State signed a decree on holding a republican referendum on March 15, 2026. In addition, the main provisions of the "Law and Order" Concept adopted last year are widely reflected in the draft of the new Constitution. This is an important stage in the history of our country. Today's forum is directly related to the ongoing political processes".

In turn, Chairman of the Zhetysu District Court of Almaty Yerkebulan Kairatuly emphasized the special role of the judicial system in ensuring the rule of law. He noted:
"The main goal of justice is the effective protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens. The ongoing reforms are aimed at increasing the openness of the judicial system, ensuring fairness and accessibility of judicial procedures. The rule of law is a solid foundation for a stable society".

Within the framework of the forum, participants made substantive presentations on ensuring the rule of law, improving the effectiveness of government and law enforcement agencies, digitalizing public administration, preventing offenses, strengthening legal culture, as well as topical issues of law enforcement practice.

At the end of the event, the participants accepted a number of proposals and stressed the importance of scientific support for legal reforms. It was noted that the results of the forum will form the basis for specific initiatives aimed at strengthening the interaction of legal science and law enforcement practice, as well as further strengthening the rule of law and order in the country.
