The scientific potential of KazNU was presented to the Armenian delegation

An introductory campus tour was organized at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University for the delegation of the Mesrop Mashtots Armenian Museum-Institute of Ancient Manuscripts Matenadaran.

Chairman of the Board Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev presented the key scientific and educational facilities of the university to the guests.

The campus tour began with a visit to the Kazakh-Chinese joint laboratory "Remote Sensing Technologies and their Applications". The specialists demonstrated modern equipment and talked about the scientific activities of the laboratory. Special attention was paid to DJI Matrice 300 RTK unmanned aerial vehicles, which are actively used in field research. The scientists explained in detail the practical use of remote sensing for monitoring natural resources, studying landscape changes and preserving historical and cultural sites.

The delegation also got acquainted with the work of the supercomputer cluster and the possibilities of high-performance computing used for processing big data, modeling complex processes and conducting interdisciplinary research. Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev stressed that these technologies allow the university to solve complex scientific problems, integrate research into international projects, train world-class specialists and create a unique innovative environment for interdisciplinary projects.

The Armenian delegation visited the Farabi Hub innovation center, a key platform for integrating science, education and business into KazNU. The rector of the university noted that Farabi Hub maintains partnerships with leading universities, scientific institutes and investor companies, opening up wide opportunities for joint research and development of new technologies. The guests were shown an ecosystem of support for young researchers, mechanisms for the commercialization of scientific developments and digital solutions in the field of education and humanitarian research.

Special attention was paid to the activities of international and interdisciplinary structures operating on the basis of the Farabi Hub, including ZTE, the ZooStan International Research Center for Central Asian Studies, the microsatellite Laboratory established jointly with the Northwestern Polytechnic University of China, laboratories of biology and biotechnology, chemistry and chemical technology, modern applied physics and high technologies, scientific and educational center "Robotics and Mechatronics RoboMech", Research Center for Medicinal Plants, The Center of Forensic Expertise and the Scientific and Technological Park.
