KazNU team became the winner of the international legal competition
The team of the Department of International Law, Faculty of International Relations, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University participated in the national round of the Philip C.Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in Central Asia, held in Tashkent.
KazNU took part in this prestigious international competition for the first time in the last 15 years.
The team consists of talented and well-trained students: Amina Nurgalimova, Sarvan Imanov, Ainur Kalmurzayeva, Ibrahim Ashimov, Beksultan Asylbekov. The team was coached by lawyer Madina Moldabayeva and PhD, assistant Professor Lyazzat Nysanbekova.
The KazNU team has distinguished itself by its depth of analysis and perseverance. The competition required participants not only to have a deep knowledge of international law, but also the ability to analyze international judicial practice, build complex legal arguments and confidently defend their position in legal English in conditions of high intellectual tension.

The Philip C.Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is the world's largest and most prestigious student competition in public international law. More than 700 universities from over 100 countries take part in it annually. Participation in the Jessup Competition is considered an indicator of a high level of legal education in the field of international law.
The KazNU team became the winner of the national stage in the "Best Memorial" nomination. This award is one of the most prestigious in the Jessup Competition and is awarded for the quality of written legal argumentation, its structure, depth of analysis and persuasiveness.
This victory grants the KazNU team the right to represent Kazakhstan as an exhibition team at the international rounds of the competition. This expands the possibilities of international academic exchange and strengthens the university's position in the global educational space.
