The Senate deputies got acquainted with the KazNU development plan
Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who visited the educational institution on a working visit.
The delegation included Darkhan kydyrali, Nuria Niyazova, Sultanbek Makezhanov and Chairman of the Bostandyk district branch of the AMANAT party Tynyshkali Saben.
The head of the university, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, informed the honored guests about the activities of KazNU and shared his plans for the future. Issues of increasing academic mobility, implementing double-degree education programs with foreign universities, supporting young scientists and developing startup projects were also discussed.

To date, the university has opened more than 50 new scientific laboratories. In the new centers, scientists are implementing innovative projects in various fields, such as geography, biology, chemistry, artificial intelligence, IT, medicine, agriculture, and others.

In turn, the Senate deputies expressed their opinions and made proposals to improve the higher education system, strengthen the integration of science and industry, as well as improve legislative support mechanisms. The MPs noted that they support initiatives related to increasing the scientific potential of the university, improving the social status of students and the effective implementation of youth policy.

After the meeting, deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Kydyrali, Nuria Niyazova and Sultanbek Makezhanov visited the laboratories of the university and got acquainted with the scientific infrastructure of KazNU. The guests were presented the results of scientific projects at the Farabi HUB, the centers for supercomputing, robotics, and remote sensing technologies and their applications.
