Meeting with School Students: Constitutional Reform and Anti-Corruption Culture

On February 25, 2026, at Municipal State Institution “Secondary School №10,” a meeting was held between senior students and representatives of the Faculty of Law of 91传媒 Kazakh National University as part of the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 16 – “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions”).

The speakers were Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor Abikenov Arkhat Ashmetovich, and PhD, Acting Associate Professor Assanova Saida Ergashevna. The topic of the meeting was “Constitutional Reform and Anti-Corruption Culture: Values of the Future Generation of Kazakhstan.”

During the event, the speakers explained the significance of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan as the Fundamental Law of the country, which enshrines the principles of popular sovereignty, the rule of law, equality before the law, and the obligation of citizens to comply with the Constitution.

Special attention was given to the role of the referendum as a form of direct citizen participation in state governance, as well as to the importance of integrity and personal responsibility in fostering an anti-corruption culture. The meeting included discussions of practical cases demonstrating how violations of the principles of honesty and equality affect opportunities for young people, undermine trust in state institutions, and hinder the realization of constitutional rights.

The meeting was held in an open dialogue format. Students actively participated in the discussion, asked questions, and expressed their views on the role of youth in building a just and law-governed state.

Such events contribute to the development of students’ legal culture and strengthen respect for the constitutional values of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
