Digitalization is the way to increase competitiveness

The fact that the head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared this year "the Year of digitalization and artificial intelligence" marks the beginning of a new stage in the development of our country. This initiative is an important strategic decision that has a direct impact on the field of education and science, including the activities of higher education institutions.

Today, digital technologies and artificial intelligence are deeply embedded in all spheres of society's life. In the education system, this trend opens up a wide range of opportunities for updating teaching methods, increasing the effectiveness of scientific research and acquiring modern skills by students. Universities should become centers of innovation and new technologies, not just educational institutions. Information technology and artificial intelligence, Big Data, digital platforms are becoming one of the key competencies for future specialists. From this point of view, the development of digital infrastructure by universities is a matter of time.

As the president noted, the main goal is to strengthen human capital. The role of universities in the implementation of this task is special. It is possible to form a solid foundation for the digital economy only by increasing scientific potential, supporting young scientists, and introducing international experience.

Digitalization in the field of education and science is a sure way to increase the country's competitiveness. Therefore, higher educational institutions give priority to the training of specialists who know new technologies, are inclined to change, and have an advanced mind.

The teaching staff of the Faculty of information technologies and artificial intelligence of the 91ý Kazakh National University considers it their civic duty to contribute their knowledge and scientific works and energetic work to train the necessary IT specialists and young scientists in the implementation of such state measures.
