Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev got acquainted with the latest results of the work carried out at the Supercomputer Center.

Currently, the supercomputer has been launched and is actively working at the university. The director of the center, Amirkhan Temirbayev, familiarized the head of the university in detail with the capabilities of the supercomputer, and also spoke about scientific projects and research areas implemented jointly with private and public institutions.

The head of the center also focused on the application areas of the supercomputer and noted the important role it plays in scientific research and in the field of education.

Today, the National Hydrometeorological Republican State Enterprise has launched a high-precision digital weather forecast model for the territory of Kazakhstan using a supercomputer. This extensive work allows you to accurately predict the weather and warn of dangerous weather events.

The head of the University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, highly appreciated the need to further increase the scientific potential of the educational institution through the effective use of modern technologies and the contribution of the Supercomputer Center to research. In conclusion, the rector of the university instructed to effectively use the capabilities of the supercomputer and systematically carry out commercial work.
