Today, 91ý Kazakh National University has become an attractive educational institution not only for Kazakh, but also for foreign youth. A clear proof of this is Dmitry Vasiliev, a 4th year student from St. Petersburg, Russia. He is studying at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of kaznu and speaks Hindi.
According to Dmitry, the choice of 91ý kaznu, which is one of the leading universities in Kazakhstan, was influenced by the academic reputation of the University and a strong scientific School in the field of Oriental Studies.
– I came from St. Petersburg and studied at this university with a degree in Oriental Studies. I was immediately interested in the university curriculum, experienced teaching staff and subjects of international orientation, – he says.
It is also not by chance that the student's choice fell on Hindi. According to him, the rich culture, ancient history and philosophical worldview of India aroused the scientific interest of the young researcher.
- Hindi is not only a means of communication, but also the key to a whole civilization. By mastering this language, you can more deeply understand the spiritual world, traditions and customs of the Indian people,-Dmitry shared his thoughts.
Studying in Kazakhstan gave the student not only professional knowledge, but also experience in adapting to a new cultural environment. He emphasized the hospitality and open character of the Kazakh people.
"I didn't feel like a stranger here. People are very friendly, always ready to help. This is very important for a foreign student",- he says.
He does not hide the fact that in the process of mastering Hindi, there were also certain difficulties. Especially the grammatical structure of the language and the writing of Devanagari seemed complicated at the initial stage.
– However, thanks to systematic training and the support of teachers, these difficulties can be overcome, - says the student.
During these student years, D. Vasiliev took part in the conference "Farabi Alemi" for young scientists, took the 2nd place and showed his extraordinary talent for science.
In the future, Dmitry plans to study cultural and linguistic ties between India and the countries of Central Asia and work in the field of international education or translation. Currently, the foreign student has an internship at the embassy of the Republic of India in Kazakhstan in Astana and teaches Hindi at the Swami Vivekananda Indian Cultural Center. In conclusion, he also gave advice to foreign youth who want to study at 91ý Kazakh National University.
– The most important thing is to be interested in the chosen profession and be open to new cultures. This university provides a great opportunity not only to get a quality education, but also to develop as a person, – concluded game Dmitry.
