On March 2, 2026, an important meeting with international QS experts was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of 91ý Kazakh National University. The event aimed to expand the university’s international cooperation, align the quality of education with global standards, and promote the 17th United Nations Sustainable Development Goal — Partnerships for the Goals.

 

The meeting was attended by Erol Güven, Director of the International Office of Istanbul Topkapi University, Bezhan Rustamov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs at Rauf Denktas University, and Alimshan Faizullayev, Associate Professor of Finance at KIMEP University. The distinguished composition of experts highlighted the high level of the meeting and its significance within the international academic community.

 

During the visit, the guests became thoroughly acquainted with the university’s academic programs, research activities, academic infrastructure, and experience in international collaboration. Particular attention was paid to improving the quality of education, developing academic mobility for students and faculty, implementing double-degree programs, and launching joint research projects. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing higher education in line with QS international standards.

 

The meeting also included discussions on experience exchange with partner universities, improving positions in international rankings, and integrating sustainable development principles into the educational system. Such partnerships not only strengthen mutual trust between universities but also foster shared responsibility within the global educational space. It was repeatedly emphasized that international cooperation is a key driver of innovation and sustainable development.

 

The event was held in a professional and constructive atmosphere, with all parties expressing their readiness to expand joint projects in the future. The meeting contributed to strengthening KazNU’s international image and positioning it as a reputable, open, and partnership-oriented university at both regional and global levels. As a result, the meeting was recognized as a strategically significant step at the university level.
