The Institute of High Technologies has become a strategic partner of KazNU

An official meeting with the delegation of the Institute of High Technologies, part of the national atomic company Kazatomprom, was held at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event, organized by the Center for Technology Commercialization and the Creative Industry in cooperation with the Department of Science and Innovation, was aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between the parties.

The negotiations were conducted by Vice Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities of KazNU Margulan Ibraimov. He introduced the guests to the large-scale work on the development of the university's scientific infrastructure. The Vice-Rector elaborated on the potential of high-tech research centers and modern laboratories, noting that the university is actively implementing a sustainable development strategy in the field of digitalization, engineering, robotics and applied research focused on industry.

During the meeting, the parties comprehensively discussed the action plan for expanding mutual cooperation. In particular, the issues of creating a joint scientific and technical working group, determining priority areas of research and development work were considered. Mechanisms for developing technical specifications for research in the field of geotechnologies of underground well leaching, ecology, digital modeling of deposits and processing of uranium raw materials were also discussed.

Azamat Zhikeev, Deputy Director General for Research at the Institute of High Technologies, stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation and expressed readiness to implement joint projects.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in establishing a long-term strategic partnership and implementing joint projects on a practical level by signing a memorandum of cooperation.

During the meeting, the guests also got acquainted with the work of the Earth Remote Sensing Center, the Supercomputer Complex, the Farabi Hub innovation platform, the International Institute of Digital Technologies and Robotics, as well as the KUKA Robotics Engineering Competence Center.
