Examined the role of women in the development of artificial intelligence

On the eve of International Women's Day, the international workshop "Women in Science" was held at the Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event was attended by leading scientists from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, who discussed the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies. Today, these technologies are becoming a key tool not only in digital medicine, but also in everyday life, allowing you to independently analyze complex data and make decisions.

Opening the meeting, Nurbol Beisov, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, stressed that women's participation in technological developments makes scientific ideas bigger and the future fairer. The workshop was an important step in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals aimed at gender equality and support for quality education.

The participants paid special attention to the practical aspects of the introduction of new technologies. Madina Mansurova, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data at KazNU, noted in her speech that today female researchers make a decisive contribution to the development of machine learning algorithms. She emphasized the importance of creating an interdisciplinary environment where women's expertise helps to adapt high-tech to meet real social needs.

The speakers noted that combining the efforts of Central Asian scientists in the field of information technology opens up new horizons for young professionals and makes it possible to respond more effectively to modern technological challenges.

Experts in the field of neuroscience and engineering solutions also spoke at the workshop, presenting cases of using AI in medicine.
