Leadership lecture from Professor Reimov Polat Rasbergenovich
On March 12, 2026, at 14:00, a leadership lecture was delivered at the Department of Geography, Land Management and Cadastre by Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Geodesy, Cartography and Natural Resources of Karakalpak State University, Polat R. Reymov. The lecture was titled “Management and Monitoring of Natural Resources in the Aral Sea Problem.”
During the lecture, the ecological situation in the Aral region, the current state of natural resources, and scientific and practical approaches to their effective management and sustainable monitoring were comprehensively discussed. Professor Reymov also shared recommendations on restoring the regional ecosystem, mitigating desertification processes, and ensuring the rational use of land and water resources.
This event corresponds to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 15 – “Life on Land”, as the lecture particularly emphasized the conservation of land resources, protection of biodiversity, and restoration of degraded territories.
The leadership lecture broadened the scientific perspectives of doctoral and master’s students and contributed to linking regional environmental challenges with the global sustainable development agenda.
