KazNU students presented national traditions in a new format
The al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a festive festival "Culture FEST", dedicated to the Day of Culture and National Traditions.
The event on the square in front of the rector's office was aimed at uniting students, popularizing the country's rich historical and cultural heritage and demonstrating the creative potential of students.
The atmosphere of the festival was saturated with national flavor. The participants and guests of the event had the opportunity to touch the origins of folk art, and themed photo zones with elements of traditional clothing and household items allowed everyone to take memorable photos in an ethnic style.

As part of the holiday, masters of applied arts held interactive pottery workshops. The students had a unique opportunity to personally work with ceramics, mastering the intricacies of ancient crafts.

An improvised art gallery was opened in the open air: young painters created canvases reflecting the life of their ancestors and national holidays. One of them, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of History, Daniyar Serikbai, masterfully captured the image of a boy in a national costume. "I've been painting for a long time, it's my favorite thing. It's great that we, the students, were given the opportunity to show our talents. I really liked the festive atmosphere",- he shared his impressions.

The creative approach was demonstrated by Yerkenur Tylegen, a student of the Faculty of Journalism, who presented the author's design of a modern merch with the symbols of Nauryz. Ayaulym Bahodyr, a student of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management, attracted the attention of the guests with her author's ethno-style decorations.

The performance of the youth orchestra emphasized the spiritual depth of the evening. The sounds of dombra and folk songs filled the square with a special sound, immersing listeners in the world of traditional music.
According to the organizers, the main goal of the Culture FEST is to preserve traditional values through the prism of innovative trends. Such initiatives arouse a sense of pride in the national art among young people and open up new horizons for the development of culture in modern society.
