KazNU discussed the introduction of AI in medicine

The republican scientific and practical conference dedicated to the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies into the healthcare system was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on the basis of the Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence. The large-scale event was attended by leading doctors, researchers, IT developers and young scientists.

The main purpose of the conference is to analyze ways to effectively use AI capabilities in medical clinics, taking into account legal requirements, and to share cross–industry experience.

Opening the meeting, Madina Mansurova, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, emphasized the strategic importance of introducing artificial intelligence into medicine. She elaborated on the role of these technologies in improving diagnostic accuracy and developing personalized medicine. During her speech, she presented the innovative AI MamaCare platform, designed for digital monitoring of the health and well-being of young mothers.

"The MamaCare AI platform we have introduced is a digital tool aimed at supporting the health of young mothers. The system analyzes key health indicators in real time and generates personalized recommendations. Digitalization of medical services in this format is an effective way to promote maternal and child health",- the scientist noted.

This project allows users to receive individual consultations and significantly increases the availability of high-quality medical services.

During the meeting, research Professor Kuat Abzaliyev, Director of 3MIS LLP Anuar Alkenov and doctoral student Anuar Nauryzbayev made presentations. The issues of the use of AI agents, medical computer vision and explicable artificial intelligence (XAI) were comprehensively considered.

The participants discussed the possibilities of AI in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, focusing on data quality, ethics, and regulatory issues. At the end of the meeting, practical cases of introducing advanced digital solutions into the healthcare system of Kazakhstan were analyzed and priority areas for the development of the industry were identified.
