AT THE DEPARTMENT OF THE FAR EAST, AN INTERCULTURAL SEMINAR ON KAZAKH TRADITIONAL CULTURE WAS HELD
On March 20, 2026, an intercultural seminar on Kazakh traditional culture was held at the Department of Japanese Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at 91ý Kazakh National University for Kazakh and Japanese students.
The event was organized as part of the annual winter school under the guidance of Senior Lecturer of the Department of the Far East, Gulmira Bimukhanovna Tazabekova.
During the seminar, local students presented a presentation dedicated to the national culture of Kazakhstan, and traditional games were organized for the foreign participants of the event. In addition, Japanese students had the opportunity to get acquainted with traditional Kazakh sweets and taste them.
The seminar became an excellent platform for intercultural exchange, strengthening friendship between the youth of the two countries, and learning about the rich Kazakh culture. Participants demonstrated activity, interest, and enthusiasm, gaining new experiences and positive emotions.
The event was held at a high level, received a warm response from the students, and allowed them to expand their knowledge of Kazakh traditions. We hope that similar cultural events will continue to be organized in the future.
