KazNU hosted a forum of young correspondents

A large-scale forum of young correspondents was held in the Scientific Library of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, bringing together talented aspiring journalists from all over the country. The large-scale event was organized by the Faculty of Journalism with the support of the republican newspaper &ܴ;Ұлан&ܴ;.

The forum summed up the results of the republican contest of creative works among students in grades 10-11, becoming a platform for honoring its winners and discussing topical issues of training a new generation of media professionals.

Opening the event, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Kanat Auesbai welcomed the participants. He stressed that the forum takes place on the days of renewal, during the celebration of Nauryz, and noted the important mission of the university in supporting gifted youth.

"The modern media environment requires from a journalist not only professional skills, but also a high culture of speech, respect for ethical standards and an understanding of their responsibility to society. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has created all the necessary conditions for the training of highly qualified media specialists: modern classrooms, television studios, laboratories and specialized classrooms, including areas related to artificial intelligence",- said the dean.

He also noted the special role of such meetings in the formation of a new generation of specialists, focused on the continuity of the traditions of the KazNU professional school and the importance of practical experience for future correspondents.

The program of the forum was intense: master classes from famous media personalities such as Anna Danchenko, Serik Zhanbolat, Nartai Otegen and others allowed the children to learn the secrets of mastery firsthand. The winners of the contest in the categories "Best Article", "Best Audio podcast" and "Best Video Interview" received well-deserved awards and certificates.

The cultural program included a visit to the Abai Theater, and the next day the juniors had excursions to the editorial offices of the newspapers &ܴ;Ұлан&ܴ; and «Дружные ребята».
