KazNU became the leader in the intellectual competition "AI-Sana"
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took the first place among the country's universities in terms of the number of participants who passed the second stage of the national acceleration program "AI-Sana".
According to the results of the selection, 7524 university students received permits for the next round. The main part was made up of undergraduate students (7,025 people), and 313 undergraduates and 186 doctoral students demonstrated their high readiness for innovative challenges. This indicator once again confirmed KazNU's leading positions in the field of IT education and science in Kazakhstan.
The large-scale project is aimed at developing DeepTech startups and training new generation IT specialists. The program is implemented with the direct participation of international experts and investors from Silicon Valley. The best participants will have a unique opportunity to join the innovative ecosystem of Alem.AI and bring your startup projects to the international level.
Over the next 2.5 months, participants will undergo intensive online training. As part of the program, students will master the applied tools of artificial intelligence, work with real Python code, and practice on the Google Colab platform. One of the key missions of the project is to develop students' modern competencies in the field of AI entrepreneurship.
The Faculty of Physics and Technology, the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management, as well as the Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence showed the greatest activity within the university. Along with them, the massive participation of students from the law and Philology faculties, as well as the Higher School of Economics and Business, indicates that the field of AI is becoming interdisciplinary and is becoming in demand even in the humanities.
