An open lesson conducted by Botagoz Omirbekovna Beksoltanova for third-year students of the educational program 6B05304 – Physics was devoted to the highly relevant topic “Clean Kazakhstan.” This topic is of particular importance in the modern world, as environmental protection, ecological sustainability, and responsible use of natural resources have become key priorities at both national and global levels.
In the context of rapid industrialization, urbanization, and increasing human impact on the environment, ecological issues are becoming more urgent. Kazakhstan, with its vast natural resources, is also facing significant environmental challenges, including air pollution, water scarcity, land degradation, and the accumulation of waste. Therefore, the concept of “Clean Kazakhstan” plays a crucial role in promoting environmental awareness and sustainable development.
The primary objective of the lesson was to develop students’ environmental consciousness, enhance their understanding of ecological issues, and foster a sense of personal responsibility for protecting the environment. In addition, the lesson aimed to develop students’ analytical and critical thinking skills, encouraging them to actively engage in solving environmental problems.
The lesson was conducted in an interactive format using modern teaching methods such as discussions, group work, and case study analysis. Students actively participated in the learning process, demonstrating a high level of engagement and interest. Key environmental issues relevant to Kazakhstan and the global community were discussed, including air pollution in urban areas, water resource depletion, waste management challenges, and the impact of climate change.

Particular attention was given to the role of physics in addressing environmental challenges. The instructor emphasized that physics provides the scientific foundation for developing innovative technologies aimed at reducing environmental impact. Examples included renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric power, as well as energy-efficient technologies. This highlighted the important role that future physicists can play in promoting sustainable development.
The lesson also incorporated Sustainable Development Goal 4 — “Quality Education.” It was emphasized that quality education is essential for building a sustainable society. Through education, students acquire not only professional knowledge but also critical thinking skills, environmental awareness, and a responsible attitude toward nature.
Furthermore, the importance of individual responsibility was highlighted. Students were encouraged to adopt environmentally friendly practices in their daily lives, such as recycling, conserving water, and reducing energy consumption. These simple actions can collectively contribute to significant environmental improvements.
In conclusion, the open lesson was highly effective in enhancing students’ understanding of environmental issues and their role in addressing them. It contributed to the development of ecological thinking, strengthened social responsibility, and encouraged active civic engagement among future professionals.
