ACADEMIC MOBILITY AS A FACTOR OF INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUE IN THE STUDY OF TURKIC HERITAGE
Within the framework of the academic mobility program, a first-year master’s student of the Department of Turkology and History of Eastern Countries at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Aner Arlan Askaruly, continues his studies at one of the leading higher education institutions in Turkey — Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, at the Department of Turkic Folklore.

The study period spans from February 16 to June 20 and includes not only the освоение of specialized disciplines but also an in-depth exploration of the cultural, historical, and sacred spaces of Turkey. During the academic mobility program, particular attention is paid to the interdisciplinary analysis of local sacred values as a key element in shaping the cultural identity of Turkic peoples, as well as their role in preserving and transforming traditional values in contemporary contexts.

The educational process is complemented by active research activities, including visits to cultural and historical sites, participation in academic events, and observation of modern forms of folklore representation in the social and cultural life of Turkey. This approach enables the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical experience, broadens academic perspectives, and strengthens professional competencies in the field of Turkology.

Moreover, academic mobility aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), contributing to the development of international academic cooperation, knowledge exchange, and the strengthening of humanitarian ties between countries.

Being immersed in the academic environment of Turkey fosters a deeper understanding of the processes of Turkic integration, cultural interaction, and transnational identity, which is especially relevant in the context of the foreign policy and humanitarian priorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
