The seminar will take place in auditorium 123.

The PhD research focuses on “The Role of Social Networks in the Formation of Political Values among Students in Kazakhstan.” The study addresses current issues regarding youth political activity, information exchange on social networks, political consciousness formation, and the adoption of democratic values. During the seminar, Gaziza Alibekova will examine in detail the ways social networks influence young people, their role in shaping political views and values, and the impact of modern media environments on student awareness.

During the seminar, the PhD student will present the theoretical foundations of the research, methodological approaches used, results of the empirical work, and the scientific and practical significance of the findings. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to discuss the influence of social networks on public opinion formation, ways to enhance information literacy, and the psychological and social factors affecting the development of political consciousness. The research results can be applied in political science, youth policy, public administration, media studies, and communications.

The Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science invites all interested faculty members, young researchers, PhD students, and master’s students, as well as audiences interested in political science, youth studies, and social communications, to participate in this extended scientific seminar. The seminar will be held in an open format, allowing each participant to express their opinion, ask questions, and provide meaningful recommendations.

The event aims to foster a culture of scientific exchange, support the professional growth of young researchers, and enhance the quality of PhD-level studies. The seminar will provide a platform for productive discussions, exchange of ideas, and the generation of new scientific insights. Participants will also be able to broaden their professional perspectives and discuss the practical application of the research results.

The seminar highlights the important role of modern media in shaping the political values of young people. Participants will explore information flows on social networks, the formation of virtual public opinion, and ways to foster civic engagement through online communications. This topic is particularly relevant for Kazakhstan in the context of youth policy and promoting democratic values through the information environment.

The seminar will provide young researchers and students with the opportunity to learn about new methodological approaches, analyze and compare scientific studies, and develop practical recommendations. Participants will be able to expand their professional networks and establish collaboration within the academic community.

The seminar will be conducted in an interactive format, allowing participants to openly share their opinions, ask questions, and engage in discussions. This promotes the exchange of scientific ideas, strengthens analytical skills of young researchers, and fosters professional relationships within the academic environment. The seminar is also designed to train participants in the practical application of research and the development of professional skills and the exchange of professional experience.

We invite everyone to attend this scientific seminar on April 6 at 16:00!
