A seminar on academic title conferral was held at the faculty of Oriental Studies
On April 6, 2026, a scientific and methodological seminar was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, focusing on the conferral of academic titles of Associate Professor and Professor, as well as the requirements for obtaining a PhD degree. The event was conducted by the Dean of the Faculty, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor M. Egamberdiev.
Doctoral students and research staff of the Faculty took part in the seminar. The meeting addressed key aspects of preparation for and completion of attestation procedures, including requirements for publication activity, selection of academic journals in accordance with the field of specialization, dissertation formatting rules, and preparation of the required documentation package.
Particular attention was given to explaining the criteria applied to applicants for academic titles and the PhD degree, as well as recent updates in regulatory requirements. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss problematic issues arising during the preparation for attestation.
At the conclusion of the seminar, Professor M. Egamberdiev provided practical recommendations and methodological guidance aimed at enhancing the research effectiveness of doctoral students and early-career researchers.
