Professor of the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences, Burkitbayev Mukhametkali Myrzabayevich, delivered a lecture titled “The Joy of Radium” as part of the Science Week held at our university.

During the lecture, he explained in detail the harmful consequences of the nuclear explosions conducted at the Semipalatinsk Test Site for human health and the environment.

In addition, he focused on the current radioecological situation in our country and provided important information about the effects of radiation, its long-term risks, as well as issues related to ensuring environmental safety.
