Scientific and Educational Seminar Dedicated to World Immunity Day: Advanced Perspectives

In honor of World Immunity Day, students from groups 24-11 and 24-12 GM, under the professional guidance of M.A. Sarybaeva, Assistant Professor of the Department of Fundamental Medicine, organized a comprehensive scientific seminar. This event served as a platform for discussing the critical functions of the human immune system in the modern world.

The materials prepared by the students provided an in-depth analysis of allergic diseases and hypersensitivity reactions. The participants explored the complex pathways through which the immune system misidentifies harmless environmental substances as threats, leading to inflammatory responses. Detailed presentations on Type I through Type IV hypersensitivity allowed for a better understanding of conditions ranging from seasonal allergies to severe systemic reactions, emphasizing the importance of precise diagnostic methods.

Furthermore, a significant portion of the seminar was dedicated to the role of immunity in the fight against cancer. Utilizing the principles of modern immunooncology, the students explained the concept of immunosurveillance—the process by which the immune system detects and eliminates malignant cells. They highlighted the vital role of cytotoxic T-cells and Natural Killer (NK) cells in preventing tumor growth. Through creative posters and data-driven information, the students effectively illustrated how the immune system acts as a sophisticated defense network against infections, allergens, and oncological challenges. This initiative emphasized that maintaining a healthy immune system is the cornerstone of longevity and disease prevention.
