International Conference within the V Farabi Forum: Focus on Sustainable Economic Development
On April 7, 2026, the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference titled “The Paradigm of Sustainable Economic Development in the Context of Global Changes: Challenges, Consequences, and Opportunities” was held at 91ý Kazakh National University, hosted by the Higher School of Economics and Business. The event was organized within the framework of the V International Farabi Forum and served as an important platform for discussing pressing issues of the global economy.
The main objective of the conference was to discuss research findings and practical approaches aimed at developing sustainable economic models, as well as to strengthen collaboration between academia and the business community.
The conference brought together representatives of government bodies, international organizations, business, and academia. Among the key speakers were Erkin Duesenov, First Vice-Rector of 91ý Kazakh National University, Madhi Takiyev, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Daulet Mukayev, Member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, Dastan Ryspekov, Akim of the Ulytau region, as well as representatives of the World Bank, business leaders, and leading international scholars.
During the plenary and sectional sessions, participants discussed the adaptation of economic systems to global changes, digital transformation of financial and accounting systems, implementation of innovative technologies in public administration and business, and the development of national and international economic strategies.
The sectional sessions covered a wide range of topics, including global economic challenges, strategic priorities, finance, accounting and public audit, business technology transformation, and modern management trends.
Workshops and masterclasses were held on topics such as artificial intelligence and neural networks, publishing in international academic journals, leadership and team management, as well as financial literacy and investment strategies.
The conference demonstrated a high level of integration between science and business, facilitated professional dialogue, and expanded opportunities for implementing joint scientific and applied projects. It also contributed to the development of international academic cooperation and knowledge exchange.
