Scientific Outcomes of the “Nuclear Physics” Section at the “Farabi Alemi” Conference
On April 7, 2026, the International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists “Farabi Alemi” was held at the Faculty of Physics and Technology of 91ý Kazakh National University, encompassing several scientific sections. At the Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics, oral presentations were delivered in the “Nuclear Physics” section, where students, master’s students, and young researchers presented the results of their studies.
The “Nuclear Physics” section of the “Farabi Alemi” conference was held at a high scientific and organizational level and demonstrated a strong interest of students in modern areas of physics. Within the section, 35 abstracts were presented, reflecting the diversity of scientific research in nuclear physics and related disciplines. Out of the submitted works, 17 participants delivered oral presentations, presenting the results of their research and scientific projects.
The topics of the presentations covered a wide range of issues, including nuclear reaction theory, radiation processes, nuclear energy, particle physics, as well as the application of modern methods of modeling and data analysis. Special attention was given to experimental research, the interpretation of results, and the use of computational technologies in solving complex physical problems. Participants demonstrated a high level of preparation, mastery of theoretical material, and scientific presentation skills.

During the section, an active scientific discussion took place: presenters argued their results, answered questions from the jury and the audience, and discussed prospects for further research. This form of interaction contributed to the development of critical thinking, scientific communication, and experience exchange among participants, as well as increasing students’ and master’s students’ interest in scientific activity.
The evaluation of the presentations was carried out by the jury members according to established criteria, including relevance of the topic, scientific novelty, degree of independence, quality of presentation, and level of content mastery. The distribution of prizes was based on the scores obtained, ensuring objectivity and transparency of results. Due to the large number of participants and the high quality of submitted works, it was decided to increase the number of awards.

Based on the results of the section, the jury awarded the following prizes. The First Degree Diploma was awarded to E.B. Artykbay (4th-year bachelor, 6В05307 — Nuclear Physics). The Second Degree Diplomas were awarded to I.M. Zhienbaev (4th-year bachelor, 6В05307 — Nuclear Physics), S.S. Boribek (4th-year bachelor, 6B05310 — Nuclear Medicine), and D.E. Omanov (4th-year bachelor, 6В05307 — Nuclear Physics). The Third Degree Diplomas were awarded to B.Sh. Abilkassim (1st-year master, 7M05308 — Physics), A.I. Istomin (3rd-year bachelor, 6В05307 — Nuclear Physics), A.Ğ. Zhanisbek (4th-year bachelor, 6В05307 — Nuclear Physics), T. Zh. Skokbaev (1st-year master, 7M05312 — Nuclear Physics), and S.Z. Zhüniskhan (1st-year master, 7M05312 — Nuclear Physics).
The “Nuclear Physics” section within the framework of the “Farabi Alemi” conference became an important platform for developing the scientific potential of students and young researchers, contributing to strengthening academic ties, enhancing research competencies, and promoting scientific knowledge among students.
