New Directions for Sustainable Development and Business Technologies: Results of the International Conference at KazNU

On April 7, 2026, the 4th International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Paradigm of Sustainable Economic Development in the Context of Global Change: Challenges, Consequences, and Opportunities" was held at 91ý Kazakh National University. Organized by the Higher School of Economics and Business, this important event provided a platform for the academic community, business representatives, and experts to discuss pressing issues of the modern economy.

The key feature of the conference was the presentation of concrete solutions and innovative approaches in the context of sustainable development, combining theory and practice. In particular, the section "Transformation of Business Technologies in the Context of Sustainable Development: Opportunities and Prospects" was of particular interest to the participants.

The relevance of the topic of transforming business technologies in the context of sustainable development is driven by profound changes in the global economy associated with the transition to ESG principles, increased regulatory pressure, and growing demands for environmental and social responsibility in businesses. Modern companies face the need not only to improve efficiency but also to ensure the resilience of their operations in the face of instability, climate risks, and supply chain disruptions. In this context, digital technologies such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things are becoming key tools for optimizing resource use, reducing environmental impact, and increasing the transparency of business processes. Changing consumer behavior and investment priorities, focused on sustainable and ethical companies, further heighten the importance of technological transformation as a strategic direction for business development and enhancing long-term competitiveness.

On April 8, the conference featured workshops with a practical focus, allowing participants to explore real-world cases and modern digital tools. Specifically, Damir Gaitov, CEO of Netpeak Kazakhstan, and Azret Satbekov, Project Manager of Netpeak Digital Growth Partner, presented a report on "Application of AI in PPC, SEO, and SMM: Tools, Case Studies, and Life Hacks," comprehensively exploring the potential of artificial intelligence in marketing. They demonstrated the importance of digital tools in improving business efficiency through specific practical examples.

Sairan Mederov, Director of GR and Compliance at TransExpeditions LLP, presented a report on "Changes in Regulatory Requirements for Freight Vehicles on International Transport Corridors and Their Impact on Logistics Processes," analyzing current developments in international logistics and their impact on business. His report emphasized the strategic importance of adapting to new requirements in the transport and logistics sector.

Overall, the conference made a significant contribution to promoting sustainable development, strengthening ties between business and science, and creating effective solutions that address modern challenges. 91ý Kazakh National University has once again proven its authority as a platform for international scientific dialogue and a hub for innovative ideas and practices.
