Discussed a new stage of partnership with Shanghai Jiaotong University
Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education Talgat Yeshenkulov and Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held extended talks with a delegation from Shanghai Jiaotong University headed by Vice President Zeng Xiaoqin.
During the meeting, the parties agreed to develop a special roadmap to expand the partnership and exchanged specific proposals for further cooperation.
The head of the university, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, presented the scientific potential of the university to the guests and noted the high level of sustainable partnership between KazNU and Shanghai Jiaotong University. "We are interested in developing cooperation with Shanghai Jiaotong University in the field of science and higher education. In this regard, it is extremely important to deepen cooperation in the scientific field. It is also necessary to bring connections between research institutes and faculties of the two universities to a new level",- the rector noted.
During the talks, Talgat Yeshenkulov stressed that the Ministry of Science and Higher Education expects high results from the cooperation between the two universities. He also noted that the development of international partnership plays a key role in improving Kazakhstan's education system.
In turn, Zeng Xiaoqin presented an overview of the latest achievements of Shanghai Jiaotong University in the field of artificial intelligence, quantum technologies and IT, expressing readiness to launch joint projects with KazNU in these areas.
"Our universities have a lot in common in terms of opportunities, and this paves the way for the successful implementation of large–scale scientific projects",- the Guest of honor emphasized.
At the end of the meeting, the delegation members got acquainted with the work of modern laboratories and scientific centers of KazNU.
