Rector expands cooperation with the world scientific community
Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev received leading foreign scientists participating in the V International Farabi Forum.
At the beginning of the visit, the head of the university met with Mustafa Jalel, Associate Professor at Istanbul University, and Nevzat Kaya, Director of the Suleymaniye Manuscript Library (Turkiye). The parties discussed issues of cooperation in the field of Turkology and the study of ancient manuscripts.
Then Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with Professor Roberto Boltri of the University of Bologna (Italy). Thanking the guest for his active participation in the forum, the Rector stressed that KazNU's partnership with Italian higher education institutions is of a strategic nature.
New horizons of cooperation were outlined during negotiations with Amir Mosavi, a professor at the University of Obuda (Hungary), who initiated the opening of an artificial intelligence center at KazNU.
"I noticed that al-Farabi Kazakh National University is actively working in the field of IT and artificial intelligence. In this regard, I propose to open a joint AI research center at the university, as well as to establish a general scientific journal",- the foreign scientist noted.
In turn, Zhanseit Tuimebayev fully supported this initiative and instructed to create a special working group to implement the project.
Issues of international integration were also discussed with Professor Quevedo Hernando of the National Autonomous University of Mexico and Christian Sue, Professor at the University of Grenoble-Alpes (France). At the meeting, the Rector of KazNU emphasized the importance of developing fundamental scientific ties and implementing joint projects.
The diplomatic and scientific dialogue continued with the Director of the Institute of Foreign Languages and International Relations of Zhengzhou University (China) Gao Xiaolin and the dean of the Russian Language Faculty of this institute, Gu Junling. The parties discussed issues of deepening cooperation in the field of philosophy.
Summing up the meetings, Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted that the exchange of experience with world-class scientists is a crucial step in strengthening the international authority of KazNU.
