Opening of the International Scientific Conference “Farabi Alemi – 2026”
On April 7, 2026, the opening ceremony of the International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists “Farabi Alemi – 2026” was held at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences of 91ý Kazakh National University. This event represents an important component of the university’s academic and research activities and serves as a key platform for fostering the scientific potential of young researchers.
The “Farabi Alemi” conference traditionally brings together undergraduate students, master’s and doctoral candidates, as well as young scientists, providing them with an opportunity to present research findings, exchange knowledge, and discuss pressing issues in contemporary science. Within the framework of the conference, participants deliver presentations, explore emerging research directions, and establish professional networks.
During the opening ceremony, particular emphasis was placed on priority research areas, including climate change, sustainable water resource management, sustainable development, as well as the application of modern geoinformation technologies and remote sensing methods. These areas are of critical importance in addressing current global environmental and climatic challenges.
The conference also welcomed international participants, highlighting its global significance. Among them were professors from Zhangjiajie Tourism College and Professor Christian Sue from Grenoble Alpes University. Their participation contributed to strengthening international academic cooperation and expanding collaborative research opportunities.
Throughout the conference, young researchers present the results of their studies, receive expert feedback, and engage in scholarly discussions. Such academic platforms play a crucial role in developing research skills, enhancing critical thinking, and fostering effective scientific communication.
“Farabi Alemi – 2026” will continue with sectional sessions, scientific discussions, and presentations in the coming days. The outcomes of the conference are expected to contribute significantly to the advancement of science and to the strengthening of the university’s position within the international academic community.
