KazNU's achievements were presented at universities in China 鈥� KazNU

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev took part in international events dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Xi'an Jiaotong University in China.

The large-scale event brought together renowned scientists, rectors of foreign universities, ambassadors and consuls, diplomats, as well as leading representatives of the global academic community.

Within the framework of the three-day program, a forum of world-class university presidents, an international exhibition, a meeting of the council of the Silk Road University Alliance, as well as a solemn event in honor of the 130th anniversary of Xi'an Jiaotong University were organized.

The international meeting was attended by Zhang Lijun, President of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Zhang Xiang, Rector of Hong Kong University, and Rector of the University of Bath (Great Britain) Phil Taylor, Vice President of Harbin Institute of Technology Liu Ting and heads of other foreign universities.

The participants exchanged views on the role of higher education in global governance and the impact of artificial intelligence on the higher education system. In addition, such topical issues as effective ways to train qualified specialists of the future were discussed.

During the meeting, which brought together the world's leading universities, KazNU Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev made a report in which he presented the achievements and plans for the further development of the educational institution. In his speech, the rector noted the dynamic development of partnerships between KazNU and universities in China. He said that within the framework of cooperation, various research centers and laboratories are being opened at the university, and joint innovative projects are being successfully implemented.

The head of the university also shared his vision of the transformation of the higher education system, the integration of science and education, as well as the role of regional universities in global processes.

At the end of the program, a special tour was organized for the participants, during which they got acquainted with the modern scientific infrastructure of Xi'an Jiaotong University.
