A branch of the Chinese Computer Federation has opened in KazNU

The opening ceremony of the Almaty branch of the Chinese Computer Federation (CCF) took place at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

During the meeting, Margulan Ibraimov, Vice Rector of KazNU for Research and Innovation, stressed the strategic importance of the project. According to him, more than 100 university teachers and scientists are already CCF members, and this partnership opens up wide opportunities for international exchange of experience and the development of advanced technologies.

Timur Imankulov, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence at KazNU, noted that the new branch will become a unique platform for students and researchers, allowing them to establish direct professional contacts with world-class experts.

As part of the celebration, CCF Secretary General Tang Weiqin presented the composition of the first executive committee of the branch. It included representatives of the country's leading universities (MUIT, KBTU, ATU), as well as top managers of international technology giants such as Huawei and ZTE. Madina Mansurova was appointed the first chairman of the department.

The program of the event also included the official CCF flag-handing ceremony and a leadership lecture by Alibaba Cloud Director of Academic Cooperation Li Bei.

The opening of the branch will allow Kazakhstani scientists to participate in prestigious international conferences such as the China National Computer Congress and develop joint research projects in the field of large language models and neural networks.
