Sustainable Development Goal No. 5: 鈥淕ender Equality鈥� in the Educational Environment
At the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature of the Faculty of Philology, an event dedicated to Sustainable Development Goal No. 5 — Gender Equality, established by the United Nations, was held. The meeting aimed to discuss 邪泻褌褍al issues of equal rights and opportunities for all, regardless of gender, as well as to promote a respectful and fair attitude within educational and social environments.
During the event, participants examined the key objectives of SDG 5, including women’s empowerment, elimination of discrimination and violence, and ensuring equal access to education and professional development. Special attention was paid to the role of language and literature in shaping public consciousness and overcoming gender stereotypes.
Students and teachers actively participated in discussions, shared their views, and analyzed literary works in terms of gender roles. Examples from world and Russian literature were presented, demonstrating the evolution of the image of women and changes in societal attitudes toward gender issues.
The event became an important platform for exchanging ideas and raising awareness about the importance of gender equality in modern society. It highlighted the need to continue work in this area and to involve young people in the implementation of sustainable development goals.
