On April 15, 2026, a debate on the topic of "Eco-Awareness and Responsibility" was held under the leadership of A. B. Rysbaeva and A. O. Ospan, senior lecturers from the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature. Second-year students majoring in Russian Philology participated in the event.
The goal of the event was to foster environmental awareness among students, develop a sense of responsibility for the environment, and develop argumentative and critical thinking skills.
During the event, students were divided into two teams, each defending its position on environmental responsibility. Participants discussed current environmental issues such as environmental pollution, climate change, the rational use of natural resources, and the role of each person in preserving nature.
During the debate, students actively expressed their opinions, provided arguments and examples, learned to listen to their opponents, and express their own point of view correctly. The discussion was lively and engaging, contributing to a deeper understanding of the topic. Following the event, participants concluded that environmental awareness is essential and that a responsible attitude toward nature is essential. It was emphasized that everyone can contribute to environmental conservation, starting with simple, everyday actions.
The event was well-organized and contributed to the students' increased environmental awareness.
