Brief description of the event |
On April 15, 2026, a field-based scientific and educational course on the topic “Bioremediation of Oil-Contaminated Soils” was organized by the faculty members of the Department of Biotechnology — Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor R.K. Sydykbekova; Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor R.Zh. Berzhanova; Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor T.D. Mukasheva; PhD, Associate Professor A.A. Omirbekova; as well as Senior Lecturers N.K. Bektileuova and A. Zhunisjan — within the framework of the globally relevant SDG 13 for employees of BioClean LLP and students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School (NIS) specializing in chemistry-biology and physics-mathematics. During the event, participants were provided with information on the rational use of soil resources and methods for maintaining their fertility and productivity. In addition, technologies for developing biopreparations based on various microorganisms for the remediation of oil-contaminated soils were demonstrated. |
