“My Profession — My Contribution to the Country”: Curatorial Hour Aimed at Enhancing Students’ Professional Responsibility
A curatorial hour titled “My Profession — My Contribution to the Country” was organized for third-year students of the Computer Engineering educational program at the Faculty of Information Technologies and Artificial Intelligence.
The main objective of the event was to develop students’ professional values, strengthen their responsibility to society and the state as future specialists, and explain the strategic importance of the IT sector in national development.
During the curatorial session, participants discussed the role of computer engineering in the modern digital society, the development of artificial intelligence technologies, information security issues, innovation culture, and the impact of digitalization processes on the national economy. Students exchanged views emphasizing that a modern engineer is not only a technical specialist but also a leader capable of guiding technological progress in society.
The event was held in an interactive format. Through group work, students presented project ideas in areas such as “Smart Village,” “AI-Based Education,” and “Cybersecure Kazakhstan.” During discussions, participants highlighted that professional knowledge and innovative thinking are key factors in shaping the country’s digital future.

The meeting contributed to increasing students’ professional motivation, developing creative activity, and strengthening civic responsibility. At the end of the session, participants noted that they perceive their profession not merely as a career choice but as an important social mission contributing to sustainable national development.
Such educational initiatives help develop the intellectual potential of student youth, integrate national values with modern technologies, and prepare competitive specialists.
