“Greening Nature: The First Steps of April,”
Within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 15 — “Life on Land,” and the environmental initiative “Greening Nature: The First Steps of April,” an ecological event was organized at the Department of Information Systems of the Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence at 91ý Kazakh National University.
The initiative aimed to promote environmental protection, the rational use of natural resources, and the development of environmental awareness among students. April, as a period of natural renewal and revitalization, was selected as the most suitable time for carrying out greening activities.
Faculty members and students actively participated in the event by planting tree saplings, flowers, and improving the university территории. The participants demonstrated that environmental protection must be expressed not only in words but also through concrete actions.
Greening activities contribute not only to improving environmental conditions but also to fostering students’ social responsibility and teamwork skills. Such initiatives play a significant role in cultivating a respectful and caring attitude toward nature among young people.
During the event, awareness-raising activities were conducted on environmental safety, preservation, and enhancement of green areas. Considering the growing relevance of global environmental challenges, the importance of such initiatives continues to increase.
The Department of Information Systems plans to continue organizing environmental activities on a regular basis, supporting the principles of sustainable development. This contributes to strengthening environmental responsibility and shaping ecological consciousness among the younger generation.
Furthermore, the event served as an excellent example of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience. Students gained a deeper understanding of the importance of implementing environmental responsibility through real actions, which will influence their future professional activities.
In the digital era, the role of information technologies in environmental protection is becoming increasingly significant. In this regard, students are exploring the use of modern IT solutions for monitoring green areas, analyzing environmental data, and developing digital platforms to track environmental conditions.
