Dear colleagues!

We invite you to take part in the Symposium “Perspectives of Integrative

Neuroscience” held within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Forum “Modern Trends in Sustainable Development of Biological Sciences” . The event will take place on 3–4 June 2026 at al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty).

The symposium is dedicated to discussing current directions of development and innovations in neuroscience and related fields, including biomedicine and biophysics, with the aim of promoting interdisciplinary integration and expanding international scientific collaboration for advancing our understanding of brain function in both health and disease, as well as improving the effectiveness of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of nervous system disorders. Symposium Topics:

1. Cognitive Neuroscience
2. Integrative Research in Biomedicine and Neuroscience  
3. Clinical and Molecular Neuroscience
4. Computational Neuroscience and Neuroinformatics
5. Integrative Research in Biophysics and Neuroscience
6. Neurotechnology in Education

The working languages of the Symposium are Kazakh, Russian, and English.

The following formats of participation are available: 1) attendee (in-person or online); 2) oral presentation (in-person or online) with or without submission of a paper for publication in the indexed in Scopus; 3) poster presentation (in-person or online; the poster template is available on the with or without submission of a paper for publication in the Forum Proceedings indexed in Scopus; 4) submission of a paper for publication in the Forum Proceedings indexed in Scopus without a presentation.

All Symposium speakers will be included in the official Symposium Program, which will be available on the website, and will receive a Certificate of Participation. Participation in the Symposium is free of charge. A publication fee is required for publishing articles in the Forum Proceedings. The Proceedings will be published in the open-access journal , indexed in the Scopus database, in December 2026. Selected papers will be published in the new peer-reviewed scientific journal “Neuroscience Perspectives.” All conditions for participation in the Symposium and for article publication are available on the website.

The Symposium Program includes:

- the official opening ceremony of the Brain Institute;  
- workshops on electrophysiology, neurofeedback, programming cognitive tasks in

PsychoPy, and principles of rehabilitation in Parkinson’s disease;  

- a presentation of KazNU journals;  
- a presentation of the new peer-reviewed scientific journal of KazNU, “Neuroscience Perspectives;  - an exhibition of modern neurotechnology.

 

Participation Procedure

 

To participate in the Symposium (all forms of participation), it is necessary to complete the registration form via the following link by 20 May 2026: Symposium

Speakers, including poster presenters, are required to submit an abstract (no more than 200 words) and a short biography (no more than 150 words) in English, in Word format, together with a photograph, by email to brain.institute@kaznu.edu.kz. Participant should receive confirmation of registration within one week after submitting the registration form.
