On the occasion of Book Day, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine at 91��ý Kazakh National University, Kulnar Akanova, congratulated students and faculty members on this significant celebration.
In her speech, she emphasized the special role of books in the modern world, noting that despite the rapid development of technology and artificial intelligence, books remain a constant and reliable source of knowledge, experience, and spiritual growth. According to her, no technology can fully replace the deep understanding and inner reflection that reading provides.
Particular attention was given to the importance of reading in the professional development of future doctors. Books help shape clinical thinking, develop analytical skills, and enable a deeper understanding of both science and human nature.
Kulnar Akanova also encouraged students to maintain their interest in reading, continuously broaden their horizons, and dedicate time not only to academic literature but also to fiction, which enriches the inner world and fosters empathy — an essential quality for every medical professional.
