The Young Correspondents Forum was held at KazNU

The 18th Forum of Young Correspondents was held at the Faculty of Journalism of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, where the results of the traditional essay contest "Do you want to be a journalist?" were announced. This year, more than 80 entries were submitted by school students interested in pursuing a future in media.

The forum has long been supported by the newspaper “Druzhnyye rebyata”, which has been part of the professional growth of several generations of young readers and aspiring writers. The organizational work has been led for many years by Larisa Pavlovna Noda, whose efforts have ensured continuity and made the forum an important platform for future journalists.

The opening remarks were delivered by Almzhan Askarovich Akbarov, who played a key role in establishing the forum and led the “Druzhnyye rebyata” newspaper for many years. He wished the participants inspiration, bold topic choices, and confidence in their abilities.

The event also featured speakers from various fields of media and communications. Among the guests were Mira Halina, a respected corporate communications professional; Malika Dauylbay, who turned her early interest in journalism into a professional career; Anelzhan Korikbay, working in modern branding and digital promotion; and Adel Orazalinova, representing television and creative media formats.

Particular interest was drawn to speeches by former forum winners, who are now young professionals in the field. Among them were Ratmir Severny, Daniil Tolochik, and Tasnim Perdikozhina. Their experiences demonstrated how early achievements can become the starting point of a professional career.

The Young Correspondents Forum continues to serve as a meeting point between generations, where professional experience and youthful energy come together, turning interest in journalism into a real career path.
