The round table was organized by the Deputy Head for Educational Work of the Department of Diplomatic Translation, Senior Lecturer R.M. Rakhimbayeva, with the aim of fostering students’ environmental culture and increasing their awareness of current environmental issues in Kazakhstan, as well as the principles of sustainable development. The event was also attended by the Deputy Head of the Department for Research, A.S. Smagulova, and the faculty members.
During the event, participants discussed pressing issues such as air and water pollution, waste management problems, the impact of industry on the environment, and climate change.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, where participants presented their ideas on improving the environmental situation in the country. The round table demonstrated a high level of student interest in environmental issues and their readiness to participate in environmental initiatives.
