Various educational and career guidance activities are held at 91ý Kazakh National University to introduce young people to science, increase school students’ interest in scientific activity, and help them form their future professional direction. Such meetings give students an opportunity to become more familiar with the world of science, assess their abilities, and make a conscious choice of their future profession.

In this regard, the event organized by N.V. Kurbatova, a lecturer at the Department of Botany and Agroecology of 91ý Kazakh National University, was of particular importance.

During the event, a solemn meeting was organized for the winners of the International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad. This meeting had great educational significance for school students and helped increase their interest in science. The achievements of students at the international level became an example for the younger generation and demonstrated that knowledge, hard work, and perseverance lead to high results.

At the 60th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad, the Kazakhstan team achieved strong results. Talented school students from different countries took part in one of the world’s prestigious chemistry olympiads, demonstrating their knowledge and abilities. Students from Almaty, who participated as members of the Kazakhstan team, performed successfully and won bronze medals.

In particular, Danil Poletayev, an 11th-grade student of Gymnasium No. 134, and Mansur Makhmutov, a 12th-grade student of Miras International School, achieved high results and became prize winners. This achievement is the result of the students’ diligence, the professionalism of their mentors, and their genuine interest in science.

Such events not only introduce school students to international achievements but also increase their motivation for science, research, and higher education. The success of the prize winners serves as an important example for the younger generation and encourages students to choose scientific fields in the future.

In addition, such meetings strengthen the connection between school students and the university environment, allowing them to become familiar with the scientific and educational potential of the higher education institution. Students gain an understanding of the scientific atmosphere of the university, educational opportunities, and future professional directions.

Thus, the event organized by N.V. Kurbatova, a lecturer at the Department of Botany and Agroecology of 91ý Kazakh National University, is an important initiative aimed at increasing school students’ interest in science, forming their career orientation, and encouraging them to pursue quality education.
