Chairman of the Board Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev received foreign guests who had specially arrived to participate in the conference "Social Work in Action: interdisciplinary and globally oriented strategies for uniting and promoting sustainable development in Central Asia".

Among the guests of honor are Eric Chui Winghong, Professor at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Antoinette Lombard, professor at the International Association of Schools of Social Work (South Africa), Victoria Fry, professor at Columbia University, Deng Suo, a scientist at Peking University, and Christine Walsh, a researcher at the University of Calgary (Canada).

The head of the university expressed gratitude to foreign scientists for participating in a large-scale event held at KazNU. In his speech, the rector noted the role and place of the university in the international arena, and also suggested strengthening cooperation between scientists.

"The conference plays a key role in strengthening cooperation between researchers from different countries. In this regard, in the future we need to develop a joint action plan and implement common scientific projects. I believe that the scientific potential of KazNU and the experience of scientists are quite sufficient for this. In addition, I propose to jointly open a social center at the university," said the rector.

In conclusion, Zhanseit Tuimebayev invited foreign scientists to give leadership lectures in their fields at KazNU.

In turn, the honored guests thanked the university's management and staff for their attention and congratulated them on the successful holding of the international conference. The scientists also expressed their willingness to establish a partnership with KazNU and implement joint initiatives.
