Meeting within the framework of a new project

SDG-17 On April 27, the Faculty of Journalism hosted a master class by renowned journalist Madina Alimkhanova. The meeting was organized on the initiative of the UNESCO Chair in Journalism and Communication in cooperation with the Adil Soz Foundation as part of a joint project. It is planned to jointly create a training manual, and then, based on it, a massive open online course (MOOC). The project start dates have already been set.

Madina Alimkhanova is a laureate of the prize of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan. Author of books: "The press secretary the media loves", "Cheat sheet for novice journalists", "The journalist is safe", "It is impossible. May. It is necessary" and others. For more than 20 years of practice, she has worked on radio, television and in a news agency, as well as participated in major International projects on journalism education.

The speaker shared with the first-year students not only her personal experience in the field of mass media, but also gave a lecture on the emergence and development of a new genre – "decision journalism", which is designed to help society cope with social problems based on previous experience.

All participants of the meeting were satisfied, exchanged contacts and outlined further plans for cooperation.
