Students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University once again confirmed their high level of academic preparation and professional knowledge by достойно representing the university at the XVIII Republican Student Subject Olympiad “Fundamentals of Logistics” within the educational program “Logistics,” organized by AlmaU (Almaty Management University) with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Republican Olympiad was held on May 6, 2026, in an offline format at AlmaU and brought together 17 teams from leading universities across Kazakhstan. Participants completed several stages, including a team video presentation, individual testing, and solving practical logistics case studies.

From the Faculty of Higher School of Economics and Business, Department of “Business-technologies”, second-year students of the educational program 6B11301 – “Logistics (by industries)” took part in the competition. As a result of the intellectual contest, KazNU teams won two prize places simultaneously – II and III places – demonstrating a high level of professional training, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills.

The team supervised by the lecturer of the Department of Business Technologies, Mussa Karlygash, won II place. The team members were:

During the Olympiad, participants solved case-based tasks, analyzed real situations in logistics and supply chain management, and demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making skills. KazNU students showed a high level of knowledge in logistics, a creative approach to completing tasks, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

The success of two teams simultaneously became the result of high-quality student preparation, professional mentorship from lecturers, and the strong educational standards of the 6B11301 – “Logistics (by industries)” program at Al-FarabiKazakh National University.

Participation in the Republican Subject Olympiad is of great importance for the professional and personal development of students. The Olympiad allows future specialists not only to test their theoretical knowledge but also to apply it in practice while solving real logistics problems. Such intellectual competitions contribute to the development of analytical thinking, leadership qualities, teamwork skills, and the ability to make decisions under time constraints.
