Results of the BIOART 2026 Exhibition

The III exhibition of artistic works "BIOART 2026: Dialogue between Man and Nature" has concluded its work in the second-floor lobby of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology. This year, the exposition brought together more than 80 unique pieces where scientific precision met boundless artistic imagination.

The faculty space became a place for deep reflection by the younger generation on the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through their works, young authors conveyed ideas of responsible consumption (SDG 12) and called for the conservation of aquatic and terrestrial biodiversity (SDGs 14 and 15). Installations combining natural and synthetic materials highlighted the fragile balance between technological progress and the preservation of pristine nature.

Continuity and Career Guidance

The exhibition served as a vital bridge between school and higher education. Participation in the event at a specialized faculty allowed students to immerse themselves in the academic environment and see biology not just as a school subject, but as a lifelong career.

We express our sincere gratitude to our partners for the high level of participant preparation:

  • KGU No. 4 (Talgar), KGU Lyceum No. 134, Kadis, General Secondary School No. 9 (Almaty), and KGU No. 4 named after A.S. Pushkin (Almaty) — for their invaluable contribution to environmental education;
  • General Secondary School-Lyceum No. 4 (Almaty) and Baiterek Science & Technology School — for the harmonious blend of scientific logic and creative search;
  • Art Studio "Star of David" (UNESCO Club) — for high standards of craftsmanship and humanistic values.

BIOART 2026 Winners

On April 30, the final results day, participants felt like real researchers by visiting the biological museum and the faculty's scientific laboratories. The highlight of the day was the award ceremony:

  • 2nd Place: Aisha Zairova (GSS-Lyceum No. 4, Almaty) — "The Voice of Nature" and Amina Nurzhan (Art Studio "Star of David").
