Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulzat Kobenova and Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic Gulzat Isamatova visited the branch of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Bishkek and got acquainted with its educational and scientific activities.

Zhamin Sheishenov, Director of the branch, and Kuanysh Tastambek, Director of the Department of Science and Innovation at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, showed the guests modern classrooms, laboratories, research sites and conditions created for students and teachers. The leadership of al-Farabi Kazakh National University also spoke about educational programs and international projects that are being implemented in Bishkek.

During the official visit, a meeting was held with students and teachers. The participants discussed the development of science and higher education, training of specialists, academic exchange and expansion of cooperation between universities of the two countries. Special attention was paid to strengthening ties between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in the educational and scientific fields. Separately, the parties discussed joint scientific and educational projects, the development of academic mobility and the introduction of new approaches into the higher education system.

Following the visit, it was noted that the branch of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Bishkek plays an important role in strengthening scientific, educational and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
